The Myth of Exercise vs Diet-From CrossFit Journal.  Madison CrossFit folks, I have one world for you – DIET!  Do I have your attention?  To many, this is a four letter word.  It is a four letter word, but you know what I mean!  We thought it pertinent to post a link this recent article from CrossFit Journal.  This hits the nail on the head as to why Diet is of the upmost importance.

The reality is, you can’t outrun a bad diet.  It doesn’t matter how much time we spend exercising.  Not only weight gain, but a myriad of diet related illness awaits us.  That is if we don’t  focus on fueling our body with better foods.  We don’t want this to come off as preachy, but as urgent.  We understand how difficult it can be to even know where to start, but we want to help.  There is a lot of current information available.  After all, you work hard, don’t you want to see better results.  Not just lower body fat!  Better blood work numbers, better performance in the gym, and better recovery.

There are all kinds of options.  You’ve heard the terms.  Keto, Paleo, the Zone, Atkins, Mediterranean, and many more.  You can start slow.  We don’t need a million changes.  Too many changes at once, usually leads to failure.  But one at a time, we can adjust little things.  before you know it, you have made new habits.  Making things a habit is the key to long term change.  So, If you have questions, please feel free to shoot us an email and we would be glad to help you get started on the correct path!
