High quality coaching can render amazing results from the worst of programming, just as low quality coaching can sabotage the results of even the “best” program. The coach’s ability to adapt the program to each specific member’s needs is what makes the program valuable, not the program itself.
Overhead pressing is largely butchered by the masses. Sacrificing stability for load rarely pays off in the long run. Instead, adapt the movement to YOUR body with small variations to attain proper positioning.
In this case, we lock the hips in a split stance which allows for better stability of the spine and overhead positioning for the shoulders.

Why choose when you can have both?
Properly warming up the deadlift takes more than just repping out light weights. Take time to activate the lats with straight-arm pulldowns for better stability and positioning with the bar.
We work smarter AND harder.
Stop agonizing over horrible pistol squat progressions. Train the pattern, NOT the exercise. Simplify the movement by swapping the bands and elevated heels for a hand assist to move freely through the entire range of motion without the pain.
